Filming has just concluded on "'Gneddu", a short film produced by Guasco, with the support of the Calabria Film Commission and the collaboration of the Uliveto Principessa Resort and the Aspromonte National Park. With the direction of Davide Como and the screenplay by Giulia Betti and Alice Gambara, the Calabria Acting School took care of the cast and part of the organization of the troupe.
The realization involved teachers and students of the SRC (Vincenzo Petullà, Antonio Conti, Gaetano Catalano, Barbara Bruni, Silvia Pisanti, Rachele Gerace, Domenico Bova, Tonio Sibio, Ilaria Nucera, Giuseppe Pellicanò), as well as the director Walter Cordopatri, who acted alongside his students and teachers for the first time.
The short tells the story of a boy, Rocco, who runs away from his family, with whom he cannot identify. A rebellious escape against the oppression of a mafia-style culture, which will end with a surprising twist.
The crew made available by the SRC also includes Cecilia Versace (edition secretary), Porzia De Crea (production assistant), Patrizia Trimarchi (set designer), Monica Caminiti (costume designer), Nadia Mastroieni (make-up artist and hair stylist) and Saverio Mauro (operator assistant).
The SRC wishes to thank the municipal administration of Cittanova, the Extraordinary Commission of the Municipality of San Giorgio Morgeto, the Forestry Unit and the Diocese of Oppido Mamertina - Palmi for the great availability shown during the filming.
