Acting for the screen
In Year Three, students learn to adapt their work to the camera. Continuity, restraint, listening, precision of focus and an awareness of framing become integral to the creation of a character.
Practical exercises reproduce the working dynamics of a set and reveal the relationship between performance, direction, cinematography, editing and sound.
Preparing for the profession
Screen acting, speech, dubbing, casting, self-tapes and professional orientation sit alongside theatre and movement disciplines. Students learn how to present themselves, prepare an audition and respond to the pace and requirements of a production.
School projects and SRC productions provide opportunities to take part in a complete creative process while developing independence, responsibility and collaborative skills.
