The activity of the Calabria Acting School, directed by Walter Cordopatri, continues in favor of the territory.
Another great event: on Wednesday 11 October the Src gave life to "SRC: Sogno, Realizzo, Cresco", an important moment of discussion on the themes of culture and social action.
Taking part in the day of activities were, among others, the creator, founder and director of the "Giffoni Film Festival" Claudio Gubitosi, the head of the "Film Delegations" of the Venice Film Festival, Laura Aimone and the actress from Reggio Calabria Daniela Marra, who rose to prominence after her leading role in the drama "Squadra Antimafia". Also present at the important event was the coordinator of the technical managers of the MIUR, Dr. Maurizio Piscitelli, the vice-president of the Aspromonte Park Authority, Dr. Domenico Creazzo, Dr. Girolamo De Maria (president of the Kalomena cultural association), the Mayor of Cittanova Francesco Cosentino and the school director, professor Angela Maria Colella.
The event involved citizens, enthusiasts and students from the high schools of Cittanova.
The public had the opportunity to discuss with the "speakers" on the topic of talents on the run. A topical topic, explored through concrete and high-quality experiences and stories. An important moment, therefore, for the Calabrian territory, which has put cinema and its world at the center as a path of growth and training for everyone and as an opportunity for young people to remain in their territory expressing ideas and potential.
The main themes addressed were: commitment, perseverance, training and vision of the future. Factors that the SRC has demonstrated to possess in its deepest spirit and which have convinced Claudio Gubitosi to renew the participation of the Acting School in the "Giffoni" for the next edition.
«It was an important event for all of us who experienced it – explained Walter Cordopatri – and it was an opportunity for reflection for the many young people in our area. We live in a historical moment in which it is important to put ourselves at the service of real projects of relaunch and shared development. Culture, in this sense, is a formidable tool for building the future. The contribution of Gubitosi, Aimone and Marra provided tools and ideas for thinking about a different future. A dutiful thanks - he concluded - to the speakers Gubitosi, Marra and Aimone, to the teachers of the Calabria Acting School, to the make up artist Nadia Mastroieni, to the staff of the Prosopon Association, and to the municipal administration of Cittanova for their constant support".
