Calabrian Acting School in Rizziconi:
Everything is ready for the filming of the MasterClass 2016/2018 short film.
Rizziconi will host the filming of the short film entitled "Christmas Surprise" in the Piana di Gioia Tauro. The short, written and directed by Salvatore Romano, professor of Film Direction, and former director of "Un Posto al Sole", will feature the three recent graduates of the Calabria Acting School: Annalisa Schiavone, Domiziana Sapone and Caterina Filardo, together with the participation of Hamed Afolabi.
The SRC, with the Director Walter Cordopatri and the Teaching Coordinator Giorgio Colangeli, have chosen the Rizziconi area as the setting for the comedy to give visibility to the area and relaunch it in the most positive context. The production of the short will be entrusted to the Prosopon Association, together with the SRC, and will be sponsored by the Municipality of Rizziconi, together with the collaboration of the Pro Loco.
Among the production collaborators there will be Elio Bisignani, Director of Photography, Nadia Mastroieni, who will take care of the make-up and hairstyles. Other important collaborators will be Emiliano Chillico, operator, and Eurema Pentimalli, Porzia De Crea and Nick Dardano will be the set designers.
This is an important experience, both for the young actresses, students of the Calabria Acting School, and for the teachers, and for the choice of the place in which to act as the backdrop for the comedy. Rizziconi, just over eight thousand inhabitants, is the place that the SRC has chosen to make shine in its production, bringing to light no longer news events but cultural initiatives capable of relaunching the territory. Social growth from every point of view, especially for the themes covered in the comedy: civil and social rights, racism and gender equality.
“Christmas Surprise” will be filmed on the weekend of February 16th and 17th in the streets and squares of the city of Rizziconi. After the inspections, the production can't wait to bring this new adventure by SRC to life.
