The School Experience Festival is a traveling festival aimed at raising awareness and training students through the use of cinematographic and audiovisual language. Organized by a team of professionals from Giffoni Experience, it has the important objective of educating children about the cinematographic experience, enhancing the theater as a fundamental environment for the enjoyment of feature films, short films, documentaries and audiovisual productions in general. The "place" is one of the fundamental aspects of the SCHOOL EXPERIENCE Festival, to address the continuous need perceived by the organization to physically meet the children.
Four appointments throughout the national territory: San Donà di Piave, Nuoro, Cittanova and Palermo. Each stage will be dedicated to a school group: primary, lower secondary and upper secondary, before arriving in Palermo for a big final party.
The events will take place in different locations, spread across the national territory, to involve and embrace young people from all over the country, where there are realities of social, economic, environmental fragility, difficult accessibility to services and infrastructures, or even where phenomena of physical degradation, marginality, social hardship, insecurity and poverty can be found. The aim of the project is also to understand the role of the suburbs, revealing their specific identity and potential: suburbs therefore understood as places where communities live and where they feel deeply rooted and not excluded.
The uniqueness of the festival, as well as the itinerant and socially-oriented formula, is given above all by the choice of the jury, made up not of sector specialists, but of children, teenagers and young people.
The concept fundamental part of the School Experience Festival is made up of two main branches: one characterized by screenings and competitions, the other by the presence of laboratories, workshops and the final creation of an audiovisual product, which will leave a tangible sign of the work done in the children.

9 | 13 December – Palermo – Final
For all stages the structure of the program includes: four days of activities with a competition for short films (Short Experience) and feature films (Feature Experience) and a competition dedicated to works produced by schools (Your Experience).
