The SRC presents: “Three owls on the dresser”

At the "Rocco Gentile" Cineteatro in Cittanova, on 1 July 2018 at 9.00 pm, the first theatrical production of the Calabrian acting school "Tre Owls on the Dresser" was staged: a clever mix of comedy and nonsense, directed by Dimi de Delphes, SRC teacher and actor of international caliber.

An exhilarating event of absolute quality (for which part of the proceeds was donated to the "Libera" Association), with the prestigious collaboration of the Stage Director Paolo Merlini, a true point of reference for Italian theatre. On stage the actresses and graduates of the Acting School Annalisa Schiavone, Caterina Filardo and Domiziana Sapone.

“Three owls on the dresser”, written by Romeo De Baggis, does not present actions, but dialogues that are dazed, surreal, bordering on the zany. A journey built on the perception of oneself and others, which puts the viewer in front of an unlikely, but all in all possible, reality. The protagonists of the play are three elderly, economically poor sisters: the eccentric Agnese (Domiziana Sapone), whose madness is worthy of one of the best cabaret characters; the thoughtful and sweetly absent-minded Virginia (Caterina Filardo), who, despite being blind, manages to do all the household chores; and the "futurist" Matilde (Annalisa Schiavone), always looking for elegance in clothing, which she can no longer afford.

"The first production by SRC represents a notable leap in quality in the cultural offering of the School to the territory - explains the Director Walter Cordopatri - a work developed within our classrooms, assisted by excellences of the national and international artistic panorama, and projected towards an overall growth of the educational, social and cultural path of our project. The direction of Dimi de Delphes and the Stage Direction of Paolo Merini, outline the contours of an important show, of depth, suitable for most significant stages. Without a doubt, the first SRC production was born in the wake of an artistic ferment that is destined to unfold with greater force in the future".
