The SRC presents: "Nothing is sweeter than love". Homage to Nosside of Locri

The theatrical show dedicated to Nosside will be staged on Friday 2 August at 9.00 pm, at the Marasà Temple of the Archaeological Park of Locri, curated by the Prosopon Association and the SRC, Calabria Acting School, conceived and directed by Walter Cordopatri, coordinated by Giorgio Colangeli, sponsored by the municipality of Cittanova and the Giffoni Film Festival.

The show, written and directed by Daniela Marra, is part of a larger project, co-financed by the Calabria Region, which aims to enhance the cultural heritage system and strengthen the current cultural offer present in Calabria. And it is precisely with this in mind that the Prosopon Association and the SRC, in collaboration with the Reggio Calabria Territory Club of the T.C.I., wanted to include in the cost of the ticket the guided tour of the archaeological site, which will be held on August 2nd starting from 7:00 pm.

"To love a land you need to know it. Know its history and its characters. The female and Calabrian characters that history books talk about are very rare. This project is a great opportunity to get to know Nosside and the Locri of the Hellenistic age more deeply, to enjoy a story immersing yourself in the verses of a poetess of love and more. A noble woman of great importance in the civilization of the time. Thanks to the craftsmanship of deeply motivated young actors, we want to tell a story that moves between poetry, ancient stone and creative genius”.

The show will be performed by Annalisa Schiavone, Caterina Filardo and Domiziana Sapone - SRC graduates - and by the students: Cecilia Versace, Federica Sottile, Arcangelo Deleo, Fabio Taca, Sergio Nicolaci, Vincenzo Petullà. Voice over Mario Parlagreco. Assistant Director Santo Nicito.

"We will tread the same land that Nosside herself trod, we will move among the remains of an ancient civilization to tell the deeds of men and women who made it great. Battles and victories, love and poetry in the place that witnessed it par excellence and which still today, through its remains, exudes magnificence and leads us to rediscover a lost identity."
