The SRC – Calabria Acting School, away to Castrovillari. Teachers and students, accompanied by the director Walter Cordopatri, will once again be exceptional spectators of the 21st edition of the historic "Primavera dei theaters" festival, directed by Scena Verticale, which inaugurated last 8 October and will end tomorrow. The festival, dedicated to the new languages of the contemporary scene, fits well with the reality created by the SRC, now present in the area for four years, training young talents through cutting-edge educational offerings and highly qualified teachers. The 2020 edition, which due to the emergency dictated by Covid-19 could not take place as usual in May, was exceptionally moved to October, but despite the difficulties it did not disappoint expectations, offering an excellent artistic program which, again this year, has managed to make Castrovillari a point of reference for the contemporary theater debate.
Precisely for this reason, the SRC could not miss the appointment, already attending last Friday, the show "Thirty years of wheat. Autobiography of a field", held at the Teatro delle Ariette, while today it will be at the Cloister of the Protoconvento, to attend the national premiere "Into Latino Roberti first episode", staged by "I sacchi di sand" and Roberto Latini and, subsequently, at the Aragonese Castle for "Mario e Saleh", by Vertical Scene. Seven days for seven national premieres, a preview, but also performances, mise en éspace, international projects within multiple outdoor and indoor spaces and locations, with twenty companies on stage, including debuts and shows, which the SRC could not renounce, now being a consolidated reality in the local artistic scene.
