The Calabria Acting School renews its shuttle service.
This year too, those enrolled in the SRC Laboratories and the MasterClass students will be able to take advantage of an important service aimed at overcoming travel difficulties caused by the scarcity of public transport in the area.
The shuttle connects the SRC with the Gioia Tauro railway station, with intermediate stops along the entire connection axis with Cittanova.
The School is located in the heart of the Gioia Tauro Plain and, despite the wonderful naturalistic and landscape resources present, it suffers from serious connection problems between the various centers and places, which do not allow, especially the younger groups, to peacefully benefit from the opportunities offered by the many cultural realities of the area, and in particular by the rich educational offer of the SRC.
The Calabria Acting School, directed by the actor Walter Cordopatri and coordinated by the actor Giorgio Colangeli, is a unique reality in Southern Italy whose aim is the complete and professional training of the actor.
Sponsored by the Municipality of Cittanova, it is based at the "F. Vinci" Solidarity Center for Legality of the town in the province of Reggio Calabria. The School's activity is divided into various courses and projects, dedicated to professional and non-professional training, internships and original productions, and makes use of the collaboration of numerous professionals from the local and national entertainment world and important partnerships. Among these, the one with the Giffoni Film Festival stands out, the most important event dedicated to cinema for young people at an international level.
Its geographical location, in a particularly evocative natural environment, makes it a unique reality, since training is also designed outdoors in a combination of theoretical training and practical and physical experiences.
The SRC works with great competence and liveliness to make its training courses rich and exciting, even those of a laboratory nature for different age groups, entrusted to 23 professional teachers from the world of entertainment. In recent years it has involved more than three hundred students across the various classes, completing important academic courses that have allowed participants to undertake internships, auditions and castings.
The shuttle service is therefore part of the mission and perspective of the SRC, a reality that is part of the territory and works daily for its growth and valorization.
