The teaching staff of the Acting School, created and directed by Walter Cordopatri, is enriched with new teachers. Joining the now consolidated and highly qualified team is Giada Grandinetti, who will teach Dynamoplastics and Elements of Mime to the students of the Triennio Accademico.
The pedagogical action aimed at studying the body for the stage, in the wake of the great masters of 20th century theater and those who continued in our century - explained teacher Grandinetti - starts from the assumption that the actor is a body in movement. My work begins with a certain but movable study, and always leads me to modify some aspects of my activity, because the encounter with the uniqueness of the students and the strong value of their physical and emotional point of view becomes the fulcrum of the pedagogical work. My disciplines are articulated through “Dynamoplasty” and the “Mime"and are made up of various pre-expressive exercises aimed at recovering and formalising: energy, concentration, rhythm, creativity, acting intention and construction of a new physical sphere which the actor will have to appropriate to best conduct himself on stage and in life. Breaking down and recomposing oneself again - he concluded - will help students to search for a sense of theater which, perhaps in a longer life journey, will become the sense of theatre".
Born in Cosenza, Giada Grandinetti graduated in Modern Foreign Languages and Literatures at the University of Calabria, and then graduated in Dramatic Art in 1999 and in Mime in 2002, at Michele Monetta's Icra Project in Naples. He continued with the “Leda” (Expressive Drama Art Laboratory) and studied among others with Vera Bertinetti, Edo Bellingeri, Riccardo Caporossi, Torgeir Wethl, Lorenzo Salveti, Marise Flach, Marco De Marinis, Peppino Mazzotta, Pasquale Anselmo. She works as an actress in various companies, including “Opera Prima” by Francesco Gigliotti and “Obos Teatro” by Daniele Mattera. Giada Grandinetti is also one of the founders of the Calabrian-Campania association "Jeu de Dames" - Gioco di Dame-Teatro, founded in October 2004, with the aim of promoting and spreading culture in general, with particular reference to artistic activity in all its forms.
With the entry of the new teacher, the SRC will strengthen its already extensive training offer, allowing its students to develop further professional skills.
