From 8 to 12 July 2026, the SRC hosts an intensive high-level training workshop led by one of the most authoritative artists on the contemporary theater scene.
From 8 to 12 July 2026, the Calabria Acting School welcomes Danio Manfredini - award-winning author, performer and theatrical pedagogue - for a five-day intensive workshop aimed at students and former students of the school.
The workshop takes place every day from 10:00 to 18:00 at the Polo Solidale per la Legalità F. Vinci, Viale Merano s.n.c., Cittanova (RC).
THE LABORATORY
Rooted in Manfredini's pedagogical practice, the workshop explores the body as a place of listening and expression, work on the voice and emotional memory.
Participants will work on texts from the classical and contemporary theatrical repertoire, to be memorized in the stage space under his direct guidance.
WHO IS DANIO MANFREDINI
Among the most recognized artists of Italian theatre, Danio Manfredini received the Ubu Award for best actor (1999), best director (2004), the Special Ubu Award in 2013 for his overall artistic and pedagogical work, and the Ubu Lifetime Achievement Award in 2023.
In 2025 he was awarded the Maestro del Teatro Italiano award in Radicondoli. He directed the Academy of Dramatic Arts of the Bellini Theater in Naples and currently leads the advanced repertoire training course at the Metastasio Theater in Prato.
THE ACTING SCHOOL OF CALABRIA
Founded by Walter Cordopatri in Cittanova, the SRC is an independent professional acting school that for years has trained actors and actresses who work with RAI, Wildside, Minerva and in Disney/Cattleya productions.
Partner of the Giffoni Film Festival, the school maintains an international exchange program with ArtEZ (Netherlands).
