Saturday 8 March 2025, the “Vincenzo de Cristo” Municipal Library of Cittanova hosted the exhibition “Woman and art”, an event that celebrated female creativity and talent through the artist's works Alberta Dito. The presence, among the guests, of mayor Domenico Antico, del president of the municipal council Francesco Rao and of theRegional Councilor for Culture, Social and Youth Policies and Equal Opportunities, Dr. Caterina Capponi, and, among the public, of director and founder of the Calabria Acting School, Walter Cordopatri, made the day significant not only for the artistic event itself, but also for the cultural future of the community. A particularly emotional moment was offered by Flavia Orecchio, student of the SRC's Triennio Accademico, who enchanted the audience by reciting a poem dedicated to the artist Dito and to all the women present in the room, a touching tribute that underlined the most authentic and profound meaning of International Women's Day. At the end of the event, Dr. Capponi took the opportunity to visit the former prison structure, the current headquarters of the School. During the visit, also accompanied by the municipal institutions, she had the opportunity to delve into the history of each individual classroom and to get to know the students of the three-year academic year. The discussion between the director Cordopatri and the Councilor highlighted not only the quality of the educational-artistic project of the Calabria Acting School and its crucial role in the cultural and social panorama of the territory, but also opened up concrete prospects for collaboration. Dr. Capponi was in fact invited to return to Cittanova to continue the dialogue on initiatives aimed at supporting the educational and cultural projects of the SRC, which has always aimed both at enhancing and retaining young talents in the area, and at making Calabria a center of attraction for young people coming from other areas.

Saturday thus strongly reiterated the importance of investing in culture as an engine of growth for the community, demonstrating how the synergy between institutions and training entities such as the Calabria Acting School is fundamental for offering new opportunities to citizens and promoting the area as a place of meeting and artistic development.
