Synergy between the Calabria Acting School and theUliveto Principessa Resort of Cittanova. The School, conceived and directed by Walter Cordopatri, has recently launched a new training course, which allows students to study outdoors, completely immersed in nature. It is precisely in view of this new approach to actor training that the partnership with the Resort, managed by the general manager, was born Adriano Raso, since most of the lessons are taking place among the centuries-old olive trees of its splendid park.
The collaboration between the two territorial entities was officially sanctioned last April 9th, during the presentation of "SRC OpenAir”, held right in the Uliveto Principessa park, in the presence of the mayor of Cittanova Francesco Cosentino. The collaboration with Uliveto Principessa, however, will not only focus on the activities included in the new SRC training offer, but will concern many other areas. In fact, already in the month of February, the short film "Il primo giorno" was shot inside, written and directed by Salvatore Romano, which sealed the conclusion of the Triennio Accademico 2018/2020, starring the graduating students alongside the SRC's educational coordinator Giorgio Colangeli.
Recently, a new film project took shape thanks also to this important collaboration: the short film, entitled "'Gneddu", produced by Guasco with the support of the Calabria Film Commission, and filmed between Cittanova and San Giorgio Morgeto, which featured students and teachers of the Calabria Acting School. Many other artistic-cultural initiatives of great importance will arise from the partnership between SRC and Uliveto Principessa Resort which will enrich and enhance the entire territory.
