On 21 December 2023 we opened the doors of the SRC to celebrate with the students of the School and their families one of the moments of the year we love most: Christmas.
For us it has always been the period in which to recreate, with lights and scenography, its enchanted atmosphere and to be able to welcome everyone in the climate of sweet serenity, closeness and play that should always be felt, in every part of the world.
This year we deliberately put gaming at the center of the "Christmas performance", because playing is one of the greatest riches that we recognize we have as human beings. A wealth that we would like to be a right everywhere, especially where boys and girls are denied with violence and brutality.
We were inspired by the game for the Christmas performance show which saw the boys and girls of the SRC protagonists of "The Nutcracker" revisited by Giovanni Gangemi, with the collaboration of the teachers of the SRC, who with dedication accompany boys and girls in their acting journeys. Also participating were the students of the three-year academic year who performed for the public, animating the entire School, whose headquarters, the former Cittanova prison, added a touch of magic to the entire evening.
The Christmas performance brought us with our minds and hearts close to all those people who are not granted the possibility of Christmas. It was an opportunity to get together and celebrate one of the meanings of acting that makes it a special and beneficial art at any age: playing.
