The School of Acting of Calabria has extended the deadline for the Online Auditions for admission to the 2026/2029 Three-Year Academic Program until September 30, 2026.
More time for those who want to apply, prepare their self-tape and begin the selection process from a distance.
Because where you start from should not determine whether you can begin.
Your first step can start from home
Online Auditions allow candidates to submit their application without having to travel immediately to the SRC headquarters in Cittanova.
To apply, candidates must complete the aptitude questionnaire and upload two self-tapes through the School’s online platform:
- a short personal introduction followed by a monologue of your choice, not a dialogue, with a maximum total duration of 3 minutes;
- a poem performed from memory, with a maximum duration of 1 minute and 30 seconds.
You do not need professional equipment or a specially designed set.
What you do need is a clean image, clear audio, solid preparation and the right conditions to keep the focus where it belongs: on your performance.
What happens after you submit your application
Every application is reviewed by the School.
The outcome of the Online Audition is communicated within two weeks of submitting the required materials. Candidates considered suitable will then be invited to the SRC headquarters in Cittanova to take part in the in-person audition required to complete the admission process.
The self-tape, therefore, does not replace meeting the audition panel.
It allows you to begin from a distance.
In-person auditions until October 31
Candidates who prefer to audition directly in front of the panel can choose the in-person audition without first taking part in the online stage.
Auditions in Cittanova will continue until October 31, 2026.
Candidates will be asked to prepare a monologue of their choice and a poem performed from memory, as well as take part in an aptitude interview.

The 2026/2029 Three-Year Academic Program
The auditions will lead to the formation of the new SRC Three-Year Academic Program class, with a maximum of 16 students.
Three years of training dedicated to the actor’s craft, through a progressive journey that begins with body and voice, moves through the stage, and reaches the camera.
Applicants are not expected to arrive as fully trained actors.
That is also what an audition is for: to get to know the candidate, understand their motivation, observe the way they approach the work and identify the potential on which a professional training journey can be built.

The new deadline for the SRC Online Auditions is September 30, 2026.
In-person Auditions will continue until October 31, 2026 at the School of Acting of Calabria headquarters in Cittanova.
