The SRC - Calabria Acting School, conceived and directed by Walter Cordopatri, coordinated by Giorgio Colangeli, in official collaboration with the Giffoni Film Festival and sponsored by the Municipality of Cittanova, presents “Acting Summer School - The actor's rhythm” a summer acting camp in collaboration with theUliveto Principessa Resort.
The camp aims to bring young people closer to the wonderful world of interpretation through sharing, fun and creativity, but above all it will aim to discover rhythm - hence the title of the campus - fundamental for the actor on stage, and for anyone in everyday life.
Everything has a rhythm, but we need to be able to perceive it, acquire it and learn to manage it. The activities will take place within the magnificent park of the Uliveto Principessa Resort, a location far from chaos, deliberately chosen because it offers uncontaminated spaces, necessary for an extraordinary personal, artistic and educational experience. Two weeks (from 5 to 16 July, excluding Saturday and Sunday) during which the children will face exciting creative moments, followed by highly qualified teachers, educators and entertainers. There are three classes divided by age groups (Child: 7-10 years; Junior: 11-14 years; Medium: 15-18 years), in order to be able to adapt didactic, pedagogical and artistic approaches.
The training offer will mainly focus on: discovery of the game; discovery of rhythm; space discovery and management; creative writing; exercises on the body, voice and emotions; listening to oneself and others; theatrical and cinematographic improvisations. The teachers lead the activities: Renata Falcone, Barbara Bruni and Antonio Conti (Acting), Chiara Tomaselli (Singing), Giovanni Gangemi (Dance theatre) e Giuseppe Costa (Body Percussion). The campus will not only be "study" but also fun and entertainment, in fact, sports activities are also planned (beach volleyball, five-a-side football, swimming pool, etc.).
Some internal spaces of the host structure are also available on campus, to be used in case of unfavorable weather conditions. All activities proposed during the campus will be structured following anti-Covid safety protocols. The participation fee is 400 euros. All registrations made by June 15, 2021 will enjoy the special price of 350 euros. Anyone who brings a friend will be entitled to an additional 10% discount for themselves and their friend.
The registration fee includes: 50 hours of training; 20 hours of entertainment; catering by the Uliveto Principessa Resort; official kit; educational material; accident insurance; final demonstration; certificate of participation. Possibility of shuttle service not included in the price. All participants on campus will have one 10% discount on the registration fee for the courses of the Calabria Acting School for the year 2021/2022.
Daily program:
- 9.00 - 11.30: educational activity;
- 11.30 - 12.30: entertainment, sports and entertainment;
- 1.00pm - 2.00pm: lunch break;
- 2.00pm - 3.00pm: rest time with video projection;
- 3.00pm - 5.30pm: educational activity;
- 5.30pm - 6.30pm: entertainment, sports and entertainment.
