During these difficult months, we have all questioned ourselves, resetting our days and priorities, in order to make ourselves as productive and proactive as possible. We at the SRC were also forced to remodulate teaching, never ceasing to look for valid and feasible solutions in the short term. Attention to students has always been the primary focus: a job that has led us to set up a formula suited to the historical moment and the needs that our path requires; also managing to give a captivating and more complete touch.
In fact, today two new ones are added to the usual 23 training disciplines of the school, confident that they will increasingly outline the profile of the students.
It is important, therefore, not to stop in front of obstacles, but to reflect and act with common sense and proactivity. This is what the SRC has guaranteed by moving teaching activities to an online platform; as well as the Auditions, which brought new students for the MasterClass of the Triennio 2021-2023. An unexpected milestone in a period like this, which has caused so much fear.
We will therefore reopen on January 18th, with the distance learning formula; online lessons also for the Labs, for which the start will be on the 25th. The children and young people of the Labs are the strength and hope that make us look to the future with joy and determination. And we can't wait to hear their voices, see their performances, dispel their fears and elevate their qualities.
All this while waiting for us to finally reopen the doors of our school, and beyond. The SRC-Earth project, of outdoor teaching, study, immersed in our magnificent territories, will complete and give that touch of extraordinaryness that only the Calabria Acting School can give.
The Director, Walter Cordopatri, expresses himself by sending good luck to teachers and students, and invites everyone to: "Don't throw in the towel in the face of this still dramatic and very difficult situation. School and training must push us to move forward and see the exit of this tunnel. The SRC is synonymous with resistance. Having invested over 300,000 euros in training for four years now, it has never made its students miss 1 hour of lessons". This is our world, this is our School.
